Diffuser Aeration System (DAS)

Our DAS (Diffuser Aeration System) is the safest, fastest, and most economical way to bring your fertilizers and chemical products back into suspension.
DAS is fast mixing.
Diffuser Aeration System.
The Novid Diffuser Aeration System (DAS) is the smart, efficient, and safe way to mix your flat and cone bottom tank's liquids.
Mix your tank SAFELY in under 24 hrs.
Bring your liquids back into suspension with virtually no environmental risk.
Factory installed.
DAS-F is factory-installed on all new flat bottom and cone bottom tanks as a standard feature.
*controllers (DAS-C or DAS-X) sold separately
Maximum aeration.
Your flat bottom and cone bottom come equipped ready to mix.

DAS Testimonial.
Not only have we cut down on mixing time and increased safety for our staff, we have used the innovative setup as an easy way to inject nitrogen stabilizers while mixing at the same time.

The DAS is our revolutionary mixing technology that uses compressed air instead of mechanical agitators or pump recirculation. It's become the standard on most Novid tanks because it's simply better—safer, more efficient, and more reliable
The system distributes compressed air evenly throughout your tank:
Flat Bottom Tanks (DAS-F): Floor plates evenly distribute air across the entire tank bottom, creating thorough circulation without mechanical parts inside the tank.

Cone Bottom Tanks (DAS-F): Optimized air distribution for the cone configuration ensures complete mixing.

Control System: The control box regulates air pressure and pulse frequency for optimal mixing efficiency.
The result? Complete mixing in as little as under 24 hours with virtually no risk of spills, leaks, or environmental exposure.
- No external recirculation pumps means no hose failures or spill risk
- No mechanical agitators inside the tank to fail or require maintenance
- No product leaving the tank reduces the risk of spills.
- Mix your tank in as little as under 24 hours
- Low energy consumption compared to pump recirculation
- Lower upfront cost than mechanical systems
- No ongoing maintenance costs
- No pump wear and tear from abrasive products
- Fewer moving parts means fewer failure points
- No internal components to corrode or break
- Simple compressed air system.
- DAS-F: Standard Diffuser Aeration System Factory-installed on flat bottom and cone bottom tanks. Provides the core mixing technology.
- DAS-C: Controller Unit. Controls air pulses into the tank.
- DAS-X: 4 tank controller. Requires a compressor able to produce 16 CFM and 100 PSI
The DAS is designed to be efficient and doesn't require a massive compressor. For optimal performance, your air compressor should be able to produced at least 4 CFM at 100 PSI. Don't exceed 120 PSI into the control box.
Most standard farm or shop air compressors will handle this just fine. When you order a tank with DAS, we'll provide you with complete installation instructions and confirm the exact specifications for your setup.
If you're retrofitting (DAS-R) an existing tank, give us a call at 1-877-956-6843 and we'll help you size it right. Download our DAS-R user manual to learn more.
The DAS is designed to achieve thorough mixing in as little as 24 hours of operation. However, we always recommend:
Sample testing: Pull samples from your tank after mixing cycle. Test for uniformity to confirm complete mixing.
Don't assume: Product characteristics vary. What mixes well in 12 hours in summer might take longer in cold weather or with thick products.
Verify: Your fertilizer dealer can help establish mixing protocols and sampling procedures for your specific products.
