Testimonials from Novid customers.
We understand that storage is more than just steel. It's about protecting your reputation, investments, and your peace of mind.
With 30+ year-old storage still in operation today, we know storage, and we have your back.
Absolutely, I would recommend the Novid stainless steel tanks.
Our annual inspections require that every year, we crack the hatches and we look inside. But what we've noticed, is that there is no maintenance. We've saved money every year on Vac Trucks because we don't have to go in there and clean out any leftover product.
Absolutely I would recommend the Novid stainless steel tanks. A very high quality product, they employ good people, their logistics is exceptional, their engineering is exceptional, and they stand behind their product.
Novid’s aeration system has been a game changer for our retail.
Novid’s aeration system has been a game changer for our retail since updating our tanks when the DAS was launched.
Not only have we cut down on mixing time and increased safety for our staff, we have used the innovative setup as an easy way to inject nitrogen stabilizers while mixing at the same time.
Forget about what you think you know about SS tanks.
Other manufacturers have to compensate for poor manufacturing expertise by using heavier gauges.
Novid designs each tank for optimal use of steel thickness while ensuring quality, longevity and affordability.
We believe in Novid’s commitment to safe, secure, maintenance free storage.
Our company has purchased more than 40 tanks from Novid over the past few years. Novid has always provided us with superior quality tanks, on time delivery, and great service.
We were excited to receive the first three model 1620SW Hopper Bins at our Watrous, SK site this past summer. We were pleased to see that the same quality that goes into every Novid liquid tank is also apparent in the new Hopper Bins.
We believe in Novid’s commitment to safe, secure, maintenance free storage. I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in dry or liquid storage!
...ended up saving me over $40,000 in one year!
I recently purchased a Novid SS liquid storage tank and I decided to buy from Novid because of their great reputation for building high quality products designed to safely store fertilizer during our coldest winters. That gave me the confidence I needed to fill the tank in fall and not worry throughout the winter months.
It’s important to me to have storage on my yard so that I don’t have to rely on logistics in the spring rush. After installing the tank on my farm, I was able to take advantage of some seasonal pricing which ended up saving me over $40,000 in one year!
They look the same as they did when new.
We have been storing fertilizer in stainless steel for over 25 years which has drastically reduced our maintenance costs and has kept our facility looking good. In fact our stainless steel tanks are worth more today than what we originally paid for them, and they look the same as they did when new.
Reduced maintenance costs, long-term cost savings and quality workmanship keeps my yard and my budget looking good!
I would definitely recommend Novid for all of your stainless steel storage.
High quality tanks, on time delivery, and great after sale service.
Harvest Land purchased 4 X 30,000 US gallon flat bottom tanks from Novid in 2014 along with 10 chemical tanks. We’re proud to have the 30,000 gallon tanks displayed in the front of our Springfield, Minnesota location.
Novid’s commitment to providing high quality tanks, on time delivery, and great after sale service is second to none.
I would definitely recommend Novid to anyone who is looking for long term fertilizer storage.
They’ve been awesome to deal with from start to finish.
We purchased two stainless steel cone bottom liquid storage tanks from Novid, and we couldn’t be happier. The workmanship on these tanks is top-notch—it’s clear that quality is a priority.
We compared quotes from three other companies, and Novid came back very competitive. The entire experience was excellent.
We use the tanks to store canola oil pressed from the canola we grow, and they’ve performed exactly as we’d hoped—no issues at all.
As we expand our business, we fully intend to reach out to Novid again. They’ve been awesome to deal with from start to finish.
We've got answers for your cone bottom tank questions.

Cone bottom tanks excel when complete drainage and easy clean-out are priorities:
Complete Drainage: The cone design allows 100% drainage with no dead spots or residue left behind. This is crucial when switching between products or storing valuable chemicals where you can't afford waste.
Easy Clean-Out: No product sits in corners or on a flat floor. Everything drains to the center discharge point, making cleaning fast and thorough.
Best for:
- Operations that regularly switch between different fertilizer blends
- Chemical storage where complete product removal is critical
- Applications requiring frequent tank cleaning
- Products that tend to settle or separate
Trade-offs: Cone bottoms require more vertical space (due to the cone angle) and typically require standing/installation support for the cone itself.
Cone bottom tanks include:
- Structural: Professionally engineered design, butt-welded joints, full-penetration welds, 10–20 degree cone
- Fittings: Fill and suction couplers, manway access
- Features: Anti-vortex plates (prevent air intake during discharge), sight tube assembly, volume decals
- Mixing: Diffuser Aeration System (DAS-F) included
- Construction: 304L or 316 stainless steel
- Warranty: 10-year warranty
All cone bottom tanks are seasonally wrapped for protection during transport.
You can customize your cone bottom tank with:
- Additional fittings: Various sizes of FNPT couplers or RFSO flanged connections for discharge, recirculation, or level sensing
- Plumbing upgrades: Internal stainless steel plumbing, interior recirculation pipe
- Valve packages: 3-piece serviceable ball valve package or butterfly valve package
- Discharge options: Specialized discharge valves or eductors sized for gravity flow from the cone
- Inspection access: 24" roof inspection lid or sidewall manway
- Venting: Additional vents, stainless steel vents
- Mounting: Ladder tabs, additional anchor tabs, guy wires and tank tie-downs
- Electrical: Conduit strut for wiring protection
- Mixing: DAS Controller Unit (DAS-C or DAS-X) for enhanced control
- Specialized: API modified and epoxy lined
- Delivery: Cradles for pre-construction site storage
- Branding: Custom decals
The cone design already gives you complete drainage, but these options let you fine-tune the tank to your exact operation and product handling needs.
Similar to flat bottom tanks, but optimized for the cone configuration. Air is distributed throughout the tank to create thorough mixing without the need for mechanical agitation. The cone's shape actually helps mixing efficiency by naturally promoting circulation.

Cone bottoms require:
- Standing procedure: Tank must be stood from horizontal to vertical (see "How do I stand my tank?" above)
- Vertical clearance: Account for total height, including the cone angle
- Discharge plumbing: Plan for bottom discharge plumbing and valve access
We provide detailed installation instructions specific to your tank configuration.
Both are excellent grades of stainless steel, but they're formulated for different applications:
304L Stainless Steel is our standard grade and handles the vast majority of liquid fertilizers and chemicals beautifully. It offers excellent corrosion resistance for common agricultural products like 28-0-0, 10-34-0, and most liquid fertilizer blends. For most farming and ag retail operations, 304L is the perfect choice.
316L Stainless Steel contains molybdenum, which gives it superior resistance to chlorides and more aggressive chemicals. It's the right choice if you're storing products with higher salt content, certain acidic solutions, or chemicals near coastal environments where salt air is a factor. The "L" in both grades means "low carbon," which provides additional corrosion resistance in welded areas—especially important for tanks that have been welded.
Bottom line: If you're storing standard liquid fertilizers, 304L is great. If you're working with more corrosive chemicals or harsher conditions, upgrade to 316L. Not sure which you need? Our sales team can help you match the right grade to your products—give us a call at 1-877-956-6843.
Check your chemical compatibility.
Use the Cole-Parmer Chemical Compatibility Database to see if your chemical is compatible with 304L or 316 stainless.
